Dean Stockdale is a highly regarded jazz pianist, arranger and composer based in the North of England who is known for his sensitive, swinging style.He regularly appears around the UK with his trio and some of the best names in UK jazz. His biggest influences in jazz are the piano styles of Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Gene Harris, Mulgrew Miller and Erroll Garner. His debut CD Origin was released in 2016 to wide acclaim. 2021 saw the release of his second trio album entitled ‘Promise the Moon’, which was featured on BBC Radio 3 and Jazz FM.His latest release ‘Celebrating Oscar’ was followed by a UK tour which also included dates in Ireland, Paris and Brussels and this year see him performing a number of dates to honour the centennial of Oscar Peterson. This solo concert will showcase his love for the American songbook composers together with his original compositions.
