Sprint Finish into Blyth
07 September 2015
With the exciting arrival of the Tour of Britain coming to Blyth on Wednesday 9th September, crowds will be looking to spot and support the likes of Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish as they come through our town. The Tour of Britain is a bike race and it covers across the entire UK through out the tour. Points are picked up in positions you finish but there is also additional points collect through stages called 'King of the Mountain' and 'Sprints'. One of the two sprints will take place over the finish line on Blyth Market Place.
The cyclists are expected to be crossing the finish line at 3:30pm. You can watch the entire race, which starts at Edinburgh and finishes in Blyth from 13:30 to 16:00 on ITV4. A large screen will be erected in Blyth Market for those who wish to be involved in the dash up Waterloo Road.
