Blyth Battery Re-Opens this weekend
10 March 2016
Blyth Battery will reopen this week on 12 and 13th March for the resident festival 2016. It will then be open until the end of September with lots going on. Blyth battery Goes to War 2016 will be an extra special event as it is the Battery’s 100th birthday this will take place on 21st and 22nd of May 2016. The Battery will also be a vantage point to see the tall ships come in and go out of Blyth at the end of August. The Battery will be open for a full week up to August bank holiday Monday when the ships leave the port. Pay us a visit when the Northumbria Live Music Festival is on 25th June – a great time to visit the café. It is looking to be a very busy year with Easter egg hunts, school visits and many other interesting things to add to the fantastic exhibits at the battery itself with its great café. It really is well worth a visit so see you down at the Battery.
