60 jobs created as new care home opens

A £4m care home has been officially opened in Blyth, creating more than 60 new jobs.
Ridley Park Care Home has been built on the site of the former Plessey Road First School.
The 59-bed home was officially opened in the presence of Town mayor Coun Robert Parker and Blyth Valley MP Ronnie Campbell.
The new development includes Internet access, an in-house Cinema, Hairdressing and beauty salon, Residents bar and function room, cafe and shop, which is open daily.
Ridley Park is run by the Gateshead-based Hadrian Healthcare Group.
