A busy 'catch-up day' was on offer today at Blyth Academy which saw us attach planks No. 4 and also scarph/align/glue planks No. 5. A very productive afternoon where everybody worked well together to get the tasks done on time!

The first build session after the Easter break was a gigantic effort by all involved, new timber was unloaded including some nice Sapele, planks No 6 scarphed and glued up, planks No 5 attached (with a little overrun of time) all temporary screws removed, rudder and oars also progressing. Lots more to do but everyone is working well together to bring the project closer to the halfway stage in a week or two, 'the turnover'.

The end of build week 7 has seen us attach the last of the planks, glue up the keel, glue the practice oars and start shaping the rudder. The team are working in coordination and must be congratulated at achieving so much in such a short time frame.

See you next week!!!!
