Local Blyth lads, “King Groover” return to The Tavern, Beaconsfield Street on Good Friday following a seven-year hiatus!

Don’t worry though, the lads didn’t give up music and sit on their hands - as they have been plying their trade in various bands in the years since their last appearance and continue to do so on a regular basis. They are used to playing various private functions across the North-East region and beyond, with one member being part of local original band The Longsands. (who have performed at The Sage Gateshead and at St.James’ Park amongst various other venues) They are a very talented four lads from our town who will leave you begging for more.

What you can expect is unadulterated rock as well as a couple of classics to get the crowd shuffling their feet. Having spoken to the lads recently they are clearly relishing the opportunity to return to one of Blyth’s premier music venues.

They said: “It’s been a long time since we’ve performed together as a band and the Tavern is the perfect return for us. We postponed our world tour of Blyth seven years ago and finally we’ve pulled our fingers out and got back together for a special one-off gig at one of the best live music venues in the North East. Vince has been doing an amazing job and we’re ecstatic to be kicking off an Easter bank-holiday weekend of music, which looks set to be one not to miss!”

So if you like bands such as Foo Fighters, Queen, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Green Day and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to name a few, be sure not to miss out this Good Friday from 8pm. Who knows whether their world tour of Blyth will continue or come to an abrupt halt for another seven long years...catch them if you can.
