SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO BLYTH
Plans are in place for Santa to visit children on a sleigh parade around the streets of Blyth.
With no public present when Blyth’s Christmas lights were turned on due to COVID, the council are hoping to bring festive cheer to the town with a visit from Santa, who is due to take part in a special parade so children can see him and he can wave to them.
Secret talks are now taking place between Blyth Town Council and Santa’s helpers in Lapland to organise his visit which, according to sources in the Elf party will involve a state-of-the-art sleigh being paraded around the streets of the town so that any good girls and boys can wave their Christmas wishes to him from the safety of their front doors.
The Mayor of Blyth Town Council, Cllr Warren Taylor said: “I understand from sources close to Santa that he and his sleigh will be driving around Blyth, Northumberland on the evenings of November 30, December 1, 2 and 3.”
“I’m told by one of his elves that you can’t miss him, as he enjoys playing loud Christmas songs as he drives around the town.” Mayor Taylor added;
“We’d like all of Blyth’s children to write their letter to Santa and leave it where they would normally leave his mince pie and the carrots for the reindeers. Apparently, the elves will pop by and magically collect it in time for Christmas.”
