JustSO are going to be gracing the main stage at Northumberland Live Festival at Blyth beach on Saturday 25th June this summer. They are a fantastic guitar and piano duo from Tyne and Wear comprising of David Stanyer (lead guitarist of The Longsands band) and singer-songwriter Olivia Morley. They will be performing with a full live band for this special event - with Gareth Dixon on bass guitar and Paul Reed on Drums. Gareth and Paul used to play for rock band MotherEarth and they will sound great up on that stage which over-looks the iconic coloured beach-huts and the majestic North Sea.

JustSO have proved to be very popular in recent years at local venues, mixing cover versions of classics from all era’s along with some of their own songs. They are both beautiful singers and they compliment each other wonderfully with Olivia on piano/vocals and “Stan” on Guitar/Vocals. You can expect songs by Fleetwood Mac, Beautiful South, One Republic, Train, Olly Murs, Bruno Mars, The Killers, Kings of Leon and various others.  I have been in venues where the whole place ended up dancing and singing along to all of their songs and I am sure they will have the crowd at the beach doing just that too. They are a brilliant addition to the line-up, with Scouting For Girls previously being announced as headliners for what should be another memorable FREE summer gig in Blyth.

David Stanyer said:  “Olivia and I are delighted to have be asked by Northumberland Live to play at this years festival. I've played on many large stages in my time with The Longsands supporting acts like Ocean Colour Scene, Cast and The Bluetones, but playing a festival so close to home with my own band will be something very special.”

David is currently in talks with the organisers about sponsoring a stage through his Recording Studio “Studio3 Recording” which is based in Manor Walks, Cramlington.
